Tiny city. Big happenings.
Even though it’s only seven by seven miles, San Francisco has a lot going on. Beck’s Motor Lodge’s central location makes it easy to explore famous attractions, local hangouts and can’t-miss events.
We’re a fixture in The Castro neighborhood, which is filled with restaurants, clubs, bars, shops and lively people. Stop by the acclaimed Twin Peaks Tavern, The Café or Harvey’s. Take in a classic movie at Castro Theatre or a show at Café du Nord. Enjoy the many festivals the neighborhood hosts annually including SF Pride, Folsom Street Fair and The Castro Street Fair.
Golden Gate Park & Haight-Ashbury
Beck’s is less than two miles from world-famous Golden Gate Park, which houses the De Young Museum, California Academy of Sciences, Conservatory of Flowers and Japanese Tea Garden. The park is also home to many outdoor concerts such as Outside Lands and Hardly Strictly Bluegrass. Even closer is Haight-Ashbury, the iconic intersection known for the Summer of Love. Here you’ll find numerous 60s-inspired shops and activities that’ll take you through a trippy time warp.
Market Street to downtown and beyond
We’re located on Market Street, which is a major thoroughfare in San Francisco. You can take the historic F Line trolley to downtown and hop on the Powell Street Cable Car, visit Union Square or stay on the trolley to travel to the Embarcadero, Fisherman’s Wharf and Chinatown. The Moscone Center, California Pacific Medical Center and UCSF are all in close proximity to our motel, making it easy for you to check in then take care of business.
Tons of transit
Beck’s is just steps away from the historic F-Line Trolley and various public transportation options that give you quick access to Fisherman’s Wharf, Union Square and BART–just to name a few. It’s fast and convenient for you to get around San Francisco and the Bay Area.
